Sleepy Hollow – Sign Extreme T-Shirt Commission

This is one that I recently finished for Sign Extreme out of Sleepy Hollow, NY. He’s a sign printer moving into Screen Printing and he wanted a design to showcase the capability of his printing services. I wanted to contrast the era of the Sleepy Hollow legends with the new printing techniques, so I used an old style hatching in combination with bright colors and gradients. I think the end result was a gritty, scary portrayal of the horseman, that is still fun and wearable.

This is being printed as I write this. It will be a 6 color Spot Process print. I’m very excited to see how it turns out.

Let me know what you think.

Emptees Recycle Project

This was a quickie I did for Emptees.com. There were lots of complaints about the quality of designs being posted to the Tees section, so I decided to start reworking some of the sloppy entries to be cool. It was just for fun, and I like how it came out. The photo used in the glass reflection is from the Grindhouse movies. Enjoy.

Emptees Recycle - Ape Skull Illustration

A couple of Skull Illustrations, just for fun.

Trying to get back into the swing of illustration after a long hiatus. Decided to draw a few skulls and get things moving. Hope you like.

Evil Skull

This was another one for the Emptees.com Tee-Off. The theme was “Black” so I decided to do an idea inspired by the 1-color Back in Black art show.

Monster Truck

This was a fun design for the Emptees.com Tee-Off competition. The theme was “Monster Trucks”.. I guess there’s not really much more explanation necessary.

Snake Guts Design

I originally made this design with Cobra Starship in mind. It ended up not being used, however, and I lost the file to edit it out when my hard drive crashed. It’s still one of my favorite illustrations to date, so I figured I’d share it here. Another on an Emptees mock.

Went with a really vibrant color set, to soften the blow of the visual and be appealing to the eye.
